General Precautions
1. Please avoid strenuous activity for 3 days prior to your physical examination. It is best to refrain from attending social gatherings, dinners, or engaging in other vigorous activities. Avoid alcohol and limit your intake of high-fat, high-protein, high-sugar, and high-sodium foods. On the day of the examination, please arrive on an empty stomach (no food or water; do not empty your bladder). Blood draws are generally scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Arriving too late may result in inaccurate test results.
2. Please do not wear tops with embellishments, jewelry, or undergarments containing metal during the examination, as these may interfere with chest and lung examination results.
3. Pregnant women or those planning to conceive (including men) should inform the physician before the examination so that appropriate precautions can be taken regarding certain tests (such as chest X-rays, CT scans, and C14 tests). If you have any other special circumstances, please inform the examining physician promptly to ensure the safety and smooth progress of the examination.
4. Women who are breastfeeding should not undergo mammography. Those with breast implants should inform medical staff before undergoing a breast examination.
5. Before the examination, please verify that the name, age, gender, and employer listed on the medical examination form match your own information, and keep your examination documents in a safe place. Please follow the examination procedures and cooperate with the guidance of the staff. In general, start with tests that require fasting (such as blood draws and color Doppler ultrasounds) and those with shorter wait times.
6. Examinees with chronic conditions requiring long-term medication (such as hypertension, diabetes, or cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases) should not abruptly stop taking their medication. Please bring your regular medications on the day of the examination and take them as scheduled to allow the examining physician to evaluate your current treatment plan.
7. For transabdominal ultrasound examinations of the prostate, bladder, or female reproductive organs, the bladder must be full (retain urine) prior to the examination. Therefore, we recommend that examinees refrain from urinating afterwaking up in the morning. For transvaginal ultrasound examinations, there is no need to retain urine; however, a gynecological examination must be performed before the transvaginal ultrasound.
8. Women should not undergo gynecological examinations, urine tests, or stool tests during their menstrual period. Please schedule your examination 3–7 days after your period ends to ensure the accuracy of these test results.
9. Women should empty their bladders before a gynecological examination. Women who are unmarried, pregnant, within 42 days postpartum, still experiencing postpartum lochia, or who have undergone gynecological surgery within the past month should not undergo a gynecological examination.
10. Please rest for 5 minutes and remain calm before having your blood pressure measured to ensure accuracy. If the blood pressure reading during the examination differs from your usual levels, please rest and have it measured several more times.
11. The health checkup package is a scientifically sound and reasonable plan tailored to each individual by professionals. It includes both basic tests that reflect your overall health status and specialized tests for certain cancers and common diseases. Therefore, do not arbitrarily skip any test items simply because they are inconvenient or due to embarrassment; your final health status must be assessed based on the comprehensive results of the entire examination.
12. Upon completion of the fasting examination items, you may present your examination form to receive a complimentary breakfast. Please ensure you return the form to the front desk staff at the conclusion of your examination; failure to do so may delay the issuance of your results.
Precautions for Gastroscopy
1. You must fast (no food or water) on the day of the procedure.
2. If you have symptoms such as a cold, runny nose, or coughing up phlegm, you should not undergo gastroscopy.
3. If you wear removable dentures, please remove them before the procedure.
4. If you opt for a painless gastroscopy, a family member must accompany you. You must not drive or perform work at heights on the day of the procedure. Please donot bring valuables into the examination room. If you feel discomfort in your throat or a sensation of a foreign object, please remain calm; this is a normal effect of the anesthetic, and the discomfort will subside within 1–2 hours. Until the anesthetic wears off, please refrain from eating or drinking to avoid choking.
5. After the gastroscopy, it is recommended to consume light, lukewarm meals and avoid raw, cold, hard, or irritating foods. You may eat half an hour after a standard gastroscopy; after a sedated gastroscopy, you may drink water after 1 hour and consume light meals after 2 hours. If biopsies were performed during the procedure, you may eat light meals after 2 hours, and soft, semi-liquid foods are recommended for the next 2 days.
6. Complications such as bleeding or perforation are extremely rare during the procedure. Should they occur, please understand the situation and actively cooperate with treatment.
Precautions for Colonoscopy
1. On the day before the examination, eat easily digestible, low-residue foods (for breakfast and lunch, consume porridge, milk, egg custard, bread, steamed buns, tofu, etc.; for dinner, eat only porridge). Do not eat vegetables, fish, meat, or fruit.
2. At 8:00 PM the day before the exam, dissolve 1 box ofHengkangZhengqing(bowel preparation solution) in 1,000 milliliters of warm water and drink the entire solution within 40 minutes (not to be used by patients suspected of having intestinal obstruction); On the day of the examination at 9:00 AM, dissolve 2 boxes ofHengkangZhengqing(3 small packets per box, 6 small packets total) in 1,500 ml of water and drink the entire solution within 1 hour. Do not eat or drink anything on the day of taking the medication.
3. Patients opting for a painless colonoscopy must be accompanied by a family member. Patients are prohibited from driving or performing work at heights on the day of the examination. Please do not bring valuables into the examination room.
4. Patients with chronic constipation must begin a laxative regimen 3 days in advance and avoid vegetables and fruits.
5. On the day of the examination, patients should bring snacks such as candy or cookies in case of need. Generally, patients are provided with a non-irritating, low-fiber, easily digestible diet (e.g., congee, noodles) immediately after the procedure. In special cases, please follow the doctor’s instructions.
6. Patients undergoing colonoscopy biopsies must rest in bed after the procedure and avoid strenuous physical activity for three days.
7. Women should not undergo a colonoscopy during their menstrual period.
8. Patients with hypertension should take their blood pressure medication after taking the bowel preparation on the day of the procedure.
9. You may experience mild abdominal bloating or discomfort after the procedure; please do not be alarmed, as this will subside after passing gas.
10. Complications such as bleeding or perforation are extremely rare during the procedure. If they occur, please understand the situation and actively cooperate with treatment.
Note:Bowel preparation is complete once you pass yellow, watery stools with no fecal matter remaining.
Precautions for Fecal Occult Blood Testing
1. First, twist the green cap on the specimen tube from side to side to remove it.
2. Scrape the surface of the stool in a crisscross pattern until the spiral groove at the tip is filled. Be sure not to scoop up a clump of stool.
3. Immediately insert the sample into the collection tube, secure the cap tightly, and then place it back into the original plastic bag.
4. Women should avoid collecting samples during menstruation, acute diarrhea, or episodes of bleeding from hemorrhoids or anal fissures.
5. Collected samples may be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
Note:The stool collection kit is distributed prior to your physical examination to avoid the inconvenience of being unable to undergo testing on the day of your appointment due to a lack of stool. However, you must submit your stool sample to our health screening center on the day of your examination within one month of receiving the kit. Delays may affect test results. Do not lose the collection kit!!!
